SSL (Secure Server) has become a widely used measure of security on the Internet. Our servers use 128-bit encrypted access for data transferred involving payment methods and sensitive information. You can use this service with or without your own secure certificate. We charge a $5.00 set-up fee and $5.00 extra per month to share our certificate.
If you use the shared certificate on your own site, users may receive a pop up box stating the the site is secure and all data in encrypted, however the name of the site doesn't match the name of the security certificate.
Purchasing your own certificate is the ideal way to go. The costs are $175 for the first year and $150 each year thereafter.
