All of our web hosting is based on an IP Address (i.e. 64.23.87.65) This number is assigned to your domain name and is the way the Internet works. If requested we can set-up more than 1 domain name per IP address. This assists us and the American Registry of IP Numbers by using less unique IP addresses. For this reason we offer Name-Based Hosting on all of our plans. You must purchase an IP Based plan to qualify for Name Based hosting under your account. Depending on the web hosting plan determines how many virtual domains you can have. This is beneficial to resellers and others that may need to host multiple sites. The cost is $9.95/month per virtual domain in addition to your main account. The virtual account shares the features of the hosting plan you are on. There can be no exceptions or changes to the features. Additionally, name-based hosting does not support SSL (Secure Socket Layer) for transmitting data securely. For this purpose you would need a regular IP based account.
